  1. Moderator:  The person with the birthday closest to January 21 - this person should go through and lead the following activities.
  2. Taskmaster/Timer:  This person is the person with the shortest first name (using legal name - no nicknames or Roberts who are Bob). 
  3. Introductions: Taskmaster flips a coin ...
Heads - Go around the room and introduce yourselves - name, district and one interesting fun fact.
OR
Tails - 2 Minute Mixer:  Partner up and meet someone new, then after two minutes return to the large group setting and go around and introduce that person by sharing name, district, and one fun fact about that person
  1. #KidsDeserveIt - In Kids Deserve It!, Todd Nesloney and Adam Welcome encourage you to think big and make learning fun and meaningful for students. While you're at it, you just might rediscover why you became an educator in the first place. Be inspired to take risks, shake up the status quo, and be a champion for your students" -- Please share activities that are wins for you in your classroom/district in this area.  Rotate through by district alphabetically - East Central person, Hinckley-Finlayson, and then Pine City.  Continue this for 25 minutes. 
  2. Connections - discuss creating a twitter handle for your group (#EPICSocial for the Social Studies Teachers or #EPICGR1 for Grade 1 teachers) or perhaps if all are Facebook friendly designating one person to create a private Facebook group. (10 minutes)
  3. Building your PLC (complete the EPIC Collaboration Form) - last 5-10 minutes or at your leisure - results will be emailed to participants before Friday.  Link to Collaboration Form
